Sadly, the game canon gives very little to work with and AU fics (at least those set in "historical" settings) tend to at least have a plot, as opposed to mindless smut.
Are the AO3 English fics are any better?
Have not yet tried looking up English fics. I honestly can't stand the English translation of the names and stuff, so it just kinda makes me wanna urgh...
(I should be in bed, but it's so ridiculously muggy I can't sleep... T_T)
