Marvel copyright lawsuit as covered by LegalEagle
Saturday, October 23rd, 2021 10:25Just part of my continued documentation about the weird quirks of copyright law.
TL;DR — You don't own the copyright if you made the material while under supervision of whoever paid you for the work. Artists need to understand that copyright law is not designed to protect their rights, it was written to protect corporations abilities to exploit their creative labor.
Honestly, I've come to the conclusion it's just pathetic when amateur artists try to levy the copyright law to their advantage (especially against others for financial reasons) when the legality is designed to be against them.
