Reminds me of the recent PV comparing Jing Yuan's and Feixiao's morning routines...what with Jing Yuan favoring canton style dim sum for breakfast/brunch.
Extra spicy foods seems to be more of a Jiaoqiu meme thing.
The normal Luofu shop/consumables list doesn't seem to having a lot of spicy foods either.
Guessing this takes place before the Companion quests with Bailu to seal the Arbor, and the one with Jingliu.
Also, wrt to hurt-fics centered on serious injury and stuff... Unfortunately, the more we let MHY write Xianzhou stories, the harder it is to take that concept seriously. Like, we now have Jiaoqiu and his diagnosis that looks more like a forensic report, but he's up and walking pretty quickly. And that one random cloud knight from Yunli's companion quest, who got his head cut off, buried, then recovered and stitched back on, and survived to keep fighting.
(And not just Xianzhou, come to think of it. Aventurine got a face full of Nihility by an Emanator and came out of it by 2.3 perfectly sane and coherent.)
