cashew | Considering maybe splitting up the journal (Reply)

I'm genuinely wondering if maybe I should split up the fannish shit from the non-fannish shit. On the one hand, it would keep the archives clean and easy to search. On the other hand, it's not like it keeps the identities separated, unless I'm willing to make a bunch of alt accounts rather than separated communities with different stuff in it.

Also, it feels like it might be too late to actually separate the fannish from the personal this late in the game. Maybe if I started off making the journal account locked and posted all my fannish shit in separated little communities to archive my fanfics and whatnot, that might make sense. But having to log into separate accounts to "start anew" as it were is kind of like...meh.

In short, I just have not yet found a satisfying way to keep my personal blabbering and my fannish blabbering separated. Also I tend to hop fandoms way too quickly. But then again, I feel like sometimes I'm writing into the aether anyway so I might as well make things easier for myself when I look back on things.

Or maybe I should just migrate all my fannish stuff into a community so I stop spamming the f-list with fannish blathering. So torn.
