Ugh, I'm so fucking tired
Sunday, September 22nd, 2019 09:25Anger is exhausting. And after the shitty performance by Barcelona last night, my brain cannot handle it anymore. Just...how does this team play this crap?
Intellectually, I get it. When you have a manager who is not good at his job, it's pretty hard to get motivated and play well. But what I cannot understand is what the Board of directors is thinking, even taking into account the fact that everyone wants to save their jobs and they want to point fingers at anyone but themselves, but at some point, this will come back to the top. People are only going to keep blaming the bottom rung employees until they run out of employees to blame and they will run out. What are you going to do then?
Surely, even from a self preservation perspective, these people must realize how important it is to not run the club into the ground. I mean, OK, yeah, it's unlikely they won't still be making money hand over fist and still be able to hoodwink some idiots to keep paying attention to their club based on name recognition alone, but they wouldn't be making as much money and even from a level of basic greed surely that's something that's going to hurt them? But hey, what do I know? I'm just some no-name rando on the internet being angry that the team I'm watching is failing to entertain and ultimately, if the club's going to break through €1 billion revenue, I guess who the fuck cares how the sporting aspect is progressing, right?
Who cares about quality when the masses are willing to consume crappy product just as voraciously?
