Four Gentlemen Love Nikki style

Recently, I've been looking into Love Nikki (not playing the game, but definitely browsing the gaming wiki at the eye candy). Mostly have been talking to tanithryudo about the designs and how I would love to see a Four Gentlemen collection.

(Four Gentlemen refers to the four flowers representing four gentlemanly virtues: Wintersweet aka Plum Blossom - Pride; Orchid - Elegance; Bamboo - Culture/Education; Chrysanthemum - Excellence. They are also the four seasons, respectively: winter, spring, summer, autumn.)

Anyway, point is, after picking and choosing through the insanely loaded gallery of outfits, I have decided that the four outfits I would pick to fill a Four Gentlemen themed collection would be as follows: ( Large images under cut )

Did I just gather a bunch of images for eye-candy purposes and no other reason? Yes. But it's so pretty. ✪ ω ✪

Also, each outfit is obviously inspired by a different dynasty's fashion style, which I thought was rather interesting. Cold Red (Wintersweet) style seems to originate from the Song dynasty. Fairy Flow (Orchid) comes from Qing dynasty. Kite Karma (Bamboo) is arguably Ming dynasty fashion. Finally, Return to Autumn (Chrysanthemum) is loosely based on Tang dynasty styles. These are also four major dynasties in recent dynastic history (Han is really, really old, and I'm honestly hard pressed to call any of the suits I've seen in Love Nikki as Han inspired; since Han style inspired the hanbok & kimono, it seems that similar looking fashion in the game will simply take their inspiration from more recent hanbok and kimono designs instead.)

Anyway, my point is, these four dynasties (Tang, Song, Ming, Qing) had huge influences on modern Chinese culture, so it was nice to be able to collect together the Four Gentlemen outfits that also referenced the four dynasties. The little experiment amused me anyway.
