OK, Washington Post, you've officially embarrassed yourself
Saturday, March 26th, 2022 17:35A nationwide newspaper really shouldn't be making this kind of mistake:
What ‘Pokemon Legends: Arceus’ gets right (and wrong) about open world games
Fauna...means animal. That sentence literally says "Placing the cute creatures among believable fictional [animals] (i.e. ice-type monsters in icy regions)..."
...An icy region isn't an animal...
Do you see how the sentence is nonsense?
The word you're looking for here is biomes. Fantastical creatures were placed in believable fictional biomes. That's what adds to the immersion.
Holy shit, an editor should've caught that very, very basic mistake. Are you fucking kidding me?
I mean, I get that the gaming section gets no attention whatsoever, but it just convinces me that the editors at Washington Post are slacking off in the worst way. How can I trust this publication to give me information on important shit when they don't even know the difference between fauna and biome?
