Novel Coronavirus COVID-19

So...governments around the world are starting to respond like this is going to end human civilization as we know it. I'm not convinced that treating COVID-19 like it's the plague is actually going to help the stop the spread of the disease or ease the burden on the health care system. Spreading accurate health care information, on the other hand, will do a lot more to help ease the strain of the medical facilities. So...
DOs:
DON'Ts:
Take care of yourselves while governments around the world shit themselves and prove they are incompetent at dealing with a pandemic. Take the right precautions, but don't let the scare mongering get to you.
💕💗 It's tough, but we'll all get through it.
DOs:
- Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water.
- If you use hand sanitizer, you should rub your hands for at least 20 seconds with the sanitizer.
- If you sneeze, cover your mouth with your sleeve or tissue, NOT your hands. (As Spiderman said, vampire sneeze.)
- Avoid public spaces as much as possible. If you have to go out, keep a body length's distance between yourself and strangers.
- Disinfect door knobs, cellphones, keyboards, tables, chairs. These are commonly touched surfaces and are hot spots for viruses. Wipe them down with Clorox/alcohol before touching if you can. If not, disinfect your hands after you touch these things ASAP.
- Eat fruits and vegetables. Drink tea. Those antioxidants will help with recovery if your body needs to rebuild to fight off infections.
- Socialize via non-direct methods, like social media or chatting apps. Just because you can't go into public doesn't mean you can't have social interaction.
DON'Ts:
- Panic. Close to 70% of the cases are mild and no worse than a common cold.
- Go into work if you're sick. Don't be the vector for the disease.
- Touch people. Try bowing instead.
- Touch your face without disinfecting your hands first (wash or sanitizer). The mouth, nose, and eyes are the most common entry points for infectious viruses.
- Lock yourself inside. Even if you're self-quarantining, you can still go on the balcony and get some sun. Sun is very good.
- Stay up late. Look, sleep is very, very important to maintaining a healthy immune system and it aides post-infection recovery. But it's not enough just to sleep, you need to sleep at night. So try to be in bed by midnight (preferably 11pm/23:00).
Take care of yourselves while governments around the world shit themselves and prove they are incompetent at dealing with a pandemic. Take the right precautions, but don't let the scare mongering get to you.
