COVID-19 shopping

So,
cashew ran out of food. Oops. On the day that Trump declared a national emergency no less. And when panic buying is at its height.
To avoid the panic buying shoppers,
cashew went to the local Chinese grocery to purchase some non-perishables. Might have gone a little overboard with stocking instant ramen. XD This is probably the most stuffed I've seen the Chinese grocery since COVID-19 news broke. I guess when faced with potential starvation and quarantine, people suddenly don't care where the food is being shipped from.
Anyway, staples in
cashew's quarantine pantry:

- Miso - So versatile, so delicious!
- Frozen Baozi - Because so fucking lazy. XD
- Green pea snacks - I gotta eat something between my meals, right?
- Dried tofu - Best. Food. Ever. Also, important in case fresh meat runs short. Soybean has all essential amino acids and many people who survived the Great Leap Forward did it by procuring a regular ration of soybean. Those who didn't have soybean died of malnutrition. So soybean is very important emergency food.
- Dried mushrooms - Soak in Miso for delicious soup! Also, they keep like...forever.
- Korean rice cake - Boiled, steamed, stir-fried, curried, so many preparation methods, so little time. Also, stored in freezer which means it will last a long, long time. (Will probably run out before the end of the week knowing how fast I go through this stuff.)
- Soba noodles - Never be without soba noodles. You can eat them in so, so many ways. My favorite is zaru soba.

Baozi depends very much on the brand and filling. I find the vegetable fillings tend to all be pretty good.
