With the world going to shit, you'd think I have better things to get worked up about. But one thing that really pisses me off when I see it is when someone writes "on mass" when they obviously meant "en masse".

The reason it makes me unreasonably annoyed is because it's clear that the person picked up the phrase/expression from hearing it rather than reading it, which in turn indicates to me that the person doesn't read enough, since "en masse" is a commonly used enough phrase that they would have happened on this had they been reading more. And nothing pisses me off more than people who don't read enough.

Meanwhile, Russia rushed a vaccine that has questionable safety and Trump wants his face on Mt. Rushmore. We're in the worst possible timeline, y'all.

Could it also be due to auto-correct? I know I see a lot of that when I read stuff which have a lot of mistakes even in English, but you can still usually make out what they meant.
