Do I even want to this year?

Two days until the official start of NaNoWriMo and I'm still undecided if I want to give it a go this year. On the one hand, I have a couple of stories that I'd like to finish. On the other, this year has been such a shit-tastic year that I feel no desire to write anything. I keep finding myself vacillating between "Yeah, let's do this!" and "Noooo, kill meeeeeee."

And NaNoWriMon is still down. Will they even be able to get it up in time? I don't know. Is it worth plugging through NaNo without my NaNoWriMon? I did complete NaNo last year, but it wasn't nearly as fun (and also my 'Mon failed to evolve for some reason).

So...yeah, those are just some of the jumbled thoughts in my mind right now as I try to keep my mind off of the U.S. elections, since the chances of another 4 years of Trump is not zero.

BTW, I hope y'all are voting...
