I don't usually agree with the Washington Post, but this little bit:

I have plenty of problems with the political right, but the left does itself no favors by trying to police words instead of taking action to change policy.

Look, I get it sucks being non-binary, non-cis in the current political atmosphere. You can't even use public bathrooms because of stupid bathroom bills. But here's my question: will getting a person to use the right pronoun repeal the bathroom bill?

I mean, at this point, I'm seriously entertaining the idea that the right is engaging in this cultural war to distract the left from the real fight at the policy level. We've had Roe v. Wade over turned and Twitter slacktivists are still bitching at each other over gender neutral pronouns. Like...does it even matter when you can't go to the bathroom?

I'm not trying to harp on this subject all the time, but it feels like every time I turn the corner on the internet, there's a leftist bitchfest focused on some kind of gender identity issue and...just aaaaaaaugh!

Hell, I can't even spend an hour in FF14 without gender identity issues getting brought up. I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR GENDER, I JUST WANT A DRESS FFS. Also, SQUAREENIX CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT ROE V WADE DUMBASS. If you want people to change their minds, go knock on doors and start campaigning.

Ugh, I'm getting too old for the internet. I'm going to go sit on a rocking chair on the porch and yell at the kids to get off my lawn.
