So uh, yeah, I got COVID. Was not able to breathe. Am barely recovering.

Ouch. Is COVID still really widespread in China? Hope you're getting better.

Sadly, due to the complete hands-off policy after Zero-COVID, there's no data to track COVID spread. COVID is probably, most likely, still circulating and everyone is infected and reinfecting. But no data.

Do people in China still go around prepped for COVID? I notice here more and more people are not bothering with masks, and restaurants and such are no longer putting in protection measures anymore.

People aren't masking. Every time I went somewhere, I got the "oh, we don't wear masks any more" spiel and I had to explain that I'm masking because the pollution is killing my lungs. Then I get back home and test positive for COVID, not because they were checking but because I had a fever and had no idea what the fuck was happening and why I couldn't breathe through my nose. Doc was like "maybe we can check for COVID, do you want to? You don't have to", which shocked me a bit because, uh, shouldn't doctors know?

So what I'm trying to say is, COVID awareness is not in a good place.
