《君子无咎》

Since I'm sick AF, I figured I might as well keep searching other BL archive summaries while I lie pathetically in bed and see if I can't find something to catch my attention. (Currently going through archives 福书网 and 腐小说 — warning: definitely use ad block on the second site, it is filled with porn ads!)

So this story seems promising. I also noticed it got recommended on a Bilibili BL recommendation channel, so that's a good sign. So far, I'm pretty impressed with the writer's technical capabilities and the mystery has kept my interest. Here's to hoping it doesn't spiral into a banal slog as the story progresses. At the moment (up to chapter 8):

Semi-classical Chinese, no obvious anachronistic phrases. ✅
Small age gap (3 years) between the BL couple. ✅
Mystery!! ✅
Politics of higher ranking officials being mixed up with the murder case causing lower officials headaches, so yay, court drama that matters! ✅
Set in a real dynasty (Tang). ✅

This one is currently the best one I've read out of the many, many ones I've read (including the likes of 《张公案》 and 《成化十四年》, which have been made into TV shows), so I'm really, really hoping it doesn't disappoint me. Fingers crossed...
