The dumb is genuinely painful...
Monday, March 1st, 2021 23:20So, I get that there are many people in the U.S. probably haven't seen a fountain pen in their life, so they might get a little confused by the whole fountain pen concept of manually filling a pen with ink then writing with it. (Although I had zero problems figuring out how to use a fountain pen for the first time when I was 12yo by myself without adult aid). But why in the world would you advertise your ignorance?
Like this guy:
I mean, let's just focus on this sentence for a second: There was an empty tube inside with a plunger, so I couldn't figure out how the ink cartridges interacted with this tube and plunger.
Hm...a tube with a plunger? Mayhap it looked like a smaller version of this?:
Gee. I wonder what could this mechanism possibly be used for? Could it, perhaps, be a tool that is used to draw solution out of bottles? *gaspshock* Has this person never gotten a flu shot? Or taken a single wet lab?
There is a point at which you have to take responsibility for your ignorance. Not being able to figure out what a tube with a plunger is used for is where I draw the line.
