Mild complaint

cashewI've been watching some documentaries lately and realized that I'm getting pretty fed up with this "let's make every documentary a nature documentary" schtick.
What's wrong with just showing us data and explaining the science? ;_; I miss the good ol' days of "stuffy documentaries" where the primary purpose was to disseminate information instead of spectacle and entertainment. That's probably why I find myself being drawn more to the likes of It's Okay To Be Smart, SciShow, and Eons. I'm just sad these episodes are only ~10 minutes long instead of full length documentaries.
