The United States is going down the shitter

cashewI don't really have anything meaningful to say about the current episode of fail from the US government. I mean, what is there left to say anyway? Instead, I've be watching PBS Frontline and Philosophy Tube talk about antisemitism and came away with this message:
White Supremacy is real in the United States. White Supremacists are not political opposition, they're the political enemy. There is no room for compromise because the political enemy wants. You. Dead. As far as White Supremacists are concerned, the only acceptable compromise is the genocide of everyone who do not look like them, think like them, and act like them. And that leaves the rest of us dead.
And right now, at this moment in time, the Republican Party has been taken over by White Supremacists. This is not a small fringe group. When their votes are heavily relied upon to elect Trump into power, when their votes are prolific enough that establishment Republicans cower to Trump's demands to save their re-election...that's not fringe. If you're a Republican and do not buy into the White Supremacists ideology, great for you, but know that your party is dominated by Neo-Nazis.
White Supremacists are not fringe in these United States. They're an absolute minority, yes, but they are substantial, they are mainstream, and the Republicans rely on them for re-election.
The other reality I've come to understand is that liberalism breeds Nazis. Because even the best trained academics are not always capable of rationality and reason. And liberalism, the ideology, feeds bigotry, fascism, and gives White Supremacists the cover to exist and proliferate. The free market of ideas doesn't exist, because the free market doesn't exist.
