Yes! I was worried because Argentina had less than 72 hours of rest after a very exhausting game in the groups, so even though their opponent was Australia, there's still a terrible possibility of something bad happening. But other than an own goal from Enzo, things have gone down acceptably.

Not the greatest showing from this team, but what can you expect when all the major players are absolutely dead on their feet. Messi somehow managed to score, then dribble the entire Australian team and failed at the last moment. Oh my fucking god, it was both glorious and frustrating to watch.

But you know what? I don't even care.

I'm just happy Argentina made it through. Yeah, they have to face down Netherlands, and Netherlands are managed by Van Gaal, who is probably a better tactician than Scaloni, so y'know, the odds are actually stacked against Argentina in terms of both experience, capability, and player quality, but anything can happen in a World Cup game. If Japan can pull a 2-1 win against Germany and Spain, then Argentina's hopes aren't completely dire and that's all that matters.
