Life mini-update

I've cut my finger and can't type. Well, correction, I can't blind type, because my finger is wrapped in a thick dressing and I can't feel the keys.

Thankfully I hadn't needed to get stitches (having lab flashbacks when I had a surgery accident 😭 and had to go to the ER), but it's been awkward doing day-to-day stuff because I have to avoid getting the wound wet, which means doing everything one-handed.

So no story updates until my finger heals.

Is it just light papercut or a deep cut? I heard there's some kinda gel version of bandages that could work for shallow cuts and not restrict movement like bandages do. Not sure what it's called in english, but saw 液体创可贴 referenced on chinese sites.

Yeah, I've heard of liquid bandaid. I don't think liquid bandaid is gonna cut it here, since the cut went pretty deep. Not deep enough to cut artery (whew), but bad enough that it took a lot of cold compresses to finally close the cut. My estimate is that it's about 3-4mm deep and about 1cm long, and thankfully the scar seemed to have closed the cut with the flesh attached (rather than separated, which is what I was most worried about). Still can't really put pressure on the finger tho'. Too much percussive/repetitive pressure might split the finger again. I'm just gonna have to wait about a week for the wound to heal up enough to withstand repetitive pressure before I try typing with the finger.

Yep. Sliced into my finger over a stubborn lemon. Ha ha... 😅
