Personally, I find it easier to edit the cut-tag rather than the details-tag, so I'm probably going to keep using the cut tag. Also I like the extra little bit of html anchoring that allows me to be easily link back to cut-tags in other entries. But the details-tag is a nice way to avoid spoilers in comments and stuff, which would've gotten more use if I was active in fandom anymore. Also, I guess it's a good way to maintain the spoiler tags if anyone gets linked to a single entry...so I guess the details tag has its other uses, too.
